Eastside Homes: Stories and Poems is a collection of illustrations and short stories written by volunteers. The stories were based off of images of homes taken in a nieghborhood in East Austin, TX. The volunteer writers had never seen the homes or never been in the nieghborhood. This project is about an outsiders perspective on what sort of life exists in an unfamiliar place. Eastside Homes displayed an aesthetic experience created by outsiders based on a real location.
